COVID devastated food banks, churches, and charities. Most were run by senior citizens who’d signed up to help in their retirement. But with the introduction of the pandemic, senior citizens were asked to stay home and stay safe. This left many non-profits without staffing and the community without support. Every other food bank in Valencia County was forced to close.
The same happened at the First Los Lunas Food Bank. But here, something wonderful happened – young families stepped in to help! Our amazing volunteers came every week to receive and sort donations, coordinate food boxes, distribute the food, and complete all the paperwork. God gave us what we needed to show the love of Christ to more than 100 families a week!
If you are looking for a church family that pulls together during trials, we’re here every day. Join us on Sundays for services at 8:30 & 11 AM! Sunday School is at 9:45 AM.
